Description
Villa Katerina is compact yet fully equipped, situated in a pecan nut grove in the countryside in Geroskipou, just 20 mins drive from Paphos airport. The property has south facing sun drenched terraces, making them ideal for relaxing and eating al-fresco. This property has been finished to a high standard by the owner Lambros, whose welcoming attitude (friendly but not intrusive) and hospitality to our guests has ensured the repeat bookings here. The free range eggs and vegetables have been a big hit. The jewel in the crown is the enormous hand tiled private pool, a real touch of luxury! And a wifi connection is available too. Geroskipou village is nearby and has a good selection of tavernas and bars, and a beautiful new pedestrian area near the church. The walk to the beach (800m) is easy, and there is now a bus stopping by the gate for the football fields next door, and it also goes to the beach, Kato Paphos, Paphos Airport and the waterpark which is 500m. 1 Euro per trip. It is also possible to walk to Paphos, (1.5km) and directions will be in the villa. This area is protected from development of houses, and there are sports of all types nearby. Atlantida Fish Taverna at 800m next to the sea, is one of the best in Paphos, and is highly recommended. On a Sunday it will be bustling with Cypriot families, and there is a small safe soft sand beach with sunloungers, and grassed childrens play area. Paphos town with its interesting shops, mix of old and new, and beautiful harbour is just 5 minutes drive.
Accommodation
Downstairs: The open-plan lounge is comfortably furnished and has air conditioning and a fire place. French doors to poolside and covered shaded terrace, ideal for outdoor dining. The kitchen is well equipped and the open plan dining area has quality wooden table and chairs. Both bedrooms, a double and a twin, have lovely views of the orchard, and they share a shower & w.c. (Not wide enough for a wheelchair). The windows have mosquito mesh which will allow you to keep the villa cool by having windows open without allowing mosquitoes in, and the bedrooms have blackout blinds.
Outside: Top quality large tiled private pool has an overflow feature at the edges, Roman steps and a hand rail. Depth all over: 1.6m (this means it is ideal for swimming without knocking your knees in the shallow end, and most adults can stand up anywhere, so it is also good as an adults learning pool.) Pool side has illumination at night and built in BBQ. Gated and fenced garden.

Katerina was lovely, especially the pool, and Lambros the owner was very kind to let us have fresh eggs from his hen house. Alexandros Palace was on a lovely side of Cyprus where the beaches were half empty and the villages were not commercialised - loved it. We also enjoyed a couple of lovely meals at the tavern where the owner has a big moustache and at the marina in Latchi. Thanks again and when ever we go back to Cyprus we will be sure to use your villas. Excellent service.

My promised reply – with apologies for the delay (I tore a deltoid muscle on the way back, and have been pretty much hors de combat since).
We had a most enjoyable time in Cyprus, and at Katerina Cottage. It was clean, and so well-equipped. The hamper was super. There was a safe, hairdryer, pool towels, etc. Lambros turned up on several occasions (and we also had Alexandra!). Nicole paid an initial visit, which was useful to us newcomers.
We did enjoy our stay...our trip up the Troodos Mountains; a trip to Polis and my birthday fish meze at Ayos Georgios; the car rental; the fresh fruit to pick and eggs to collect; the pretty seamless arrangements.
No fun returning to more than 100 emails. I need another break!

What a wonderful place Katerina Cottage is! Having just returned from our first vist there - although our 10th visit to Cyprus - we just have to write and say a very big thank you, and add that Katerina Cottage is in a wonderful and peaceful setting, and provides everything you need, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks there.
Also "thank you" to Nicole for her assistance - although this was only required on one occasion other than her first visit to us shortly after her arrival. We think it is a brilliant idea that your local representative can be contacted by text in the event of any queries, and you don't have to wait in for the next visit. Perhaps some of the bigger tour companies could learn from this example? We had a wonderful coach trip to Famagusta and Salamis that Nicole arranged for us, both of which are in the occupied area in the North of Cyprus. The last time we visited both of these was 40 years ago, in 1970, before the invasion. We can highly recommend that trip.
Also to Lambros the owner, who we met on a number of occasions which included his 'tour' of his Pecan plantation and showing us where we could collect fresh eggs (although we didn't take him up on that offer as I am not supposed to eat them!) and help ourselves to Pomegranates and Lemons straight from the tree. But a special "thank you" must go to him for changing the automatic light settings on the wonderful pool to enable us to have a swim around midnight to cool down before going to bed! This was indeed a real luxury!
Although we won't be coming back to Cyprus next year, as we have already made arrangements to visit our second favourite Mediterranean island, Rhodes, for our 2011 holiday, we hope to come back again in the not too distant future, and will most certainly look to coming to Katerina Cottage again.

The flight itself was very good but unfortunately delayed on both the outward and return journey...they are not as efficient as you and we would like to say how pleased we were with both your service, that of Nicole in the resort and Nick from CY Breeze. We didn't need to contact anyone but everything was in place had we needed to. Everyone arrived on the Monday so we were well informed from the start and after that were left to enjoy our holiday without interruption for which we were really grateful. We would happily recommend Sundance Villas; the poster is up in work and thank you for the bottle of wine.
The villa was clean and tidy and the welcome hamper was very good, particularly as we arrived so late. Beach towels were provided which is a very useful addition. The Villa was perfectly secluded and in a peaceful location. The pool is absolutely brilliant and we made full use of it, particularly as the temperatures continued to soar. We don't have any new recommendations; your existing list is very comprehensive and included many places we have visited before and agree with the comments. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would happily book with you again. Considering how late we were in making the booking, everything was dealt with quickly and efficiently and because of this we enjoyed a totally relaxing and stress free week - just what we needed.

Yet again we had a fabulous holiday, everything was as expected at this lovely cottage , oh and thank you for listening to my request for a mirror!!! did not have to rely on husband to tell me I looked ok.
Thank you also for the extra bottle wine, which we had no trouble enjoying !!, there has been a lot of interest from work colleagues since notice went up on our board so I just hope they don't book same time as I want LoL!!.
Once again the pool was fantastic, we were able to have a proper swim due to the size and depths. The representatives are great and do not visit unless you want them to which is always nice .
Collecting freshly laid eggs for breakfast each day was also highlight of the holiday, not many places you can do that.
Well back to reality now, can't wait for next year.

The Villa was everything you said and more - the location - perfect, the pool was fantastic - clean and warm and contained 2 children for the majority of each day!! The villa inside was beautiful and Lambros could not have been more hospitable - fresh eggs and peaches - yum!! We enjoyed every minute and thank you so much for helping us with our late booking - the car hire was perfect and you were unbelievably efficient in all the bookings and helping us. We will book the villa for next year and will shortly send you the booking form!!

We had another fantastic holiday at Villa Katerina. Every time we saw Lambros he would ask where we have been, and we would reply "nowhere". We just loved chilling out and relaxing at Villa Katerina. Yet again we could not fault it. Had some fantastic Indian food at Poppadums, we went early and got 10% off then we came outside and saw your Sundance Villas sign, so we said let's go back and get another discount! (Joke) We have 2 more tavernas for the Eating Out list, in Avanti Village, on the corner: The Meating Place (Charcoal Grill), Tel. 26 964888. And in the village of Mandria out near Paphos Airport, Kentpo ikon in Niki’s Square. The owner says she offers "Real Cypriot food". Tel 26 423842 Good meze and very popular. As always Lambros and his family made us feel very welcome….

The Villa was quaint and well equipped for our family's needs, everything we needed in a villa was there. The pool was certainly fantastic and we made daily use of even in the rain!
We had a lovely break and the owner was great and attentive especially during one of the many thunder storms when we had a power cut. The Rep was also very helpful.
All in all we had a great time and Nick from Cy-Breeze was as helpful as he was 4 years ago.... He is certainly a recommendation in himself.
We wouldn't hesitate in recommending you, Sundance Villas and Cy-Breeze Car Hire Co. to anyone who is thinking of going to Cyprus. If/when we return we wouldn't go through anyone else.

Just some feedback on our holiday to Villa Katerina, we had a wonderful time, the weather, food, people and the villa.
My son especially enjoyed the time he spent playing with the villa owners son who was so very hospitable and kind. It was a very relaxing holiday.
I must say I would recommend car hire though as we found it quite difficult in the heat travelling by bus. Anyone that goes must visit CoralBay, it is spectacular.

We must say how much we enjoyed our stay at Katerina.It was everything we expected and more.The swimming pool was great.Lambros the owner, treated us very well, giving us free rein to pick oranges, cucumbers, lemons etc., from his small holding as well as letting us collect eggs from the chicken coop. Also the three days we spent at the Axiothea Hotel were very enjoyable.Yvonne and her husband made us very welcome.The view over Pafos is stunning and the sunsets beautiful. After arriving home from our week at Villa Katerina we just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful holiday. When we first came across your website and you offered to arrange everything for us from villa, flights and even car hire we did wonder if you really did exist or were you just a ficticious website waiting to run off with our hard earned cash. However, oh how wrong we were. Your service really was first class from all aspects. The accommodation was just perfect, set in its own private grounds it was complete tranquility yet only a 5 minute drive to the main town for our evening meal. The villa was equipped with everything we could wish for and the overflow pool was out of this world, especially the amount of space around the pool edge too - ample room to walk safely without the fear of slipping and falling in! The car hire you arranged for us was also spot on, waiting at the airport for us complete with full tank of fuel. We can't thank you enough for making such a stress free holiday come true - so much so we have already booked again for next year.
