Description

The villa is idyllically situated within a pretty garden on the hillside overlooking a beautiful valley, hills and sea at Polis. The views are even better from the terrace upstairs, which is a wonderful spot to watch shooting stars from. This house has been built using traditional stone throughout which keeps it cool in summer and warm in winter, and wooden beams and shutters. It is spacious and furnished to a high standard. 2 of the bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs so may be suitable for guests with limited mobility. The colour changing lighting in the private pool is a popular feature. The lovely terrace (below) gets welcome shade and a light breeze during the heat of the day. Here you can enjoy meals, lounge around and relax, whilst observing the stunning colour changes of your beautiful unobstructed 180' view in front. (I have tried to give an impression of this with our selection of photos, and the videos.) Reached via a no through lane leading from the village, the location of this tastefully furnished house is completely private and not overlooked. Rare birds frequent this area so take your binoculars!

Testimonials for Villa Aurora

Updated June 2010

Dear Irene
No problems at the villa, it is just as we remembered. Weather was a bit unseasonable, the local shop owner (nice man, don't know his name) said that there has been a lot of wind from Syria(?) this year bringing sand particles and obscuring the sun. I don't know whether this is accurate.
The swimming was very nice! and the villa was peaceful.
We ate in most of the time, but we had a trip to Coral Bay and had a meal at the 'Lucky Genie' bar in Kissonerga which we enjoyed.
Best regards

Hi Irene,

We have had a wonderful week at Villa Aurora it was everything we wanted and more. The fridge was stocked as expected and the villa was meticulously clean.

With regards to restaurants…we ate wonderfully well and in fantastic atmospheres at Imogens Inn at Kathikas, Kanelli Fish Taverna, Pomos and Moustakallis in Polis Square. We cooked our own Kleftiko a couple of evenings too!

The car hire you recommended was also very good and very helpful. We would definitely use Cy-Breeze again. The car we hired coped very well with a trip through Pafos Forest, Cedar Valley and the Troodos area.

Just to sum up, we had a fantastic holiday and we are definitely coming back to Cyprus this year and will definitely use Sundance Villas again and Cy Breeze car hire.

Thank you again.

Hi Irene

We did enjoy our return visit to Villa Aurora.
The villa was spotlessly clean and the outside flowers and shrubs are so beautiful with fantastic views and peace and quiet.
No text from Dimitri but he did visit and caught us in.
Now looking forward to are holiday at Villa Filip in July.
Yours truly

Nick & Margaret

Hi Irene,

Just to say how much we enjoyed Aurora. It was a fantastic setting with Michalis showing to be such a caring host. We managed to lock ourselves out of the villa before we had even got the cases out of the car (keys, money, etc in bag on table as door shut behind me).
We spent part of night in the car and then contacted Nicole who was so fast in responding and allowing us access to our beautiful villa.
We intend to book up again in the very near future.
Kind regards to yourself and, if you are able to email / speak to Michalis, could you kindly offer our sincerest thanks.

Volcano holiday comm 4 April 2010

Dear Irene

Thanks for your email, it was the most unusual 14 day holiday which ended up lasting 24 days!!

Firstly I would like to say that Nicole, Dimitri and Michael from Sundance were absolutely fabulous in helping us whilst we were in Cyprus.  We did phone Dimitri using the number he left us, during a large power cut and he was extremely helpful, ringing around and keeping us informed as to what was happening etc. Nicole was wonderful when the news of the volcano broke and informing us of flight cancellations and advising us to go to the airport. Michael was brilliant during that time as he came and waited at the airport with us whilst we were arranging our flight home. They were all really helpful in trying to negotiate prices etc for our extended stay. Sadly we could not transfer funds around quickly enough in order for us to stay in another villa. I would be very grateful if you could pass on my thanks to Nicole, Dimitri and Michael for all their care and attention during our holiday.

Villa Aurora was beautiful as you know, having been there yourself. Stunning views, amazing gardens and wildlife. I was so disappointed to have to leave when we did as we did not get to see the beautiful roses bloom.

The service we have received from Sundance has been excellent and I could not think of anything that Sundance could improve on.  I can't praise the Sundance staff enough and we will most definitely be returning to you next year.

Thanks again for all your help.

Wishing you a happy and successful 2010.

Kindest regards,

Sara and Simon Rushton    Oxfordshire

Dear Irene

We had a very enjoyable holiday at the Villa Aurora. It was much bigger than expected, and I can honestly say, that all the ingredients for a relaxing and successful holiday are present at the Villa. The weather was perfect, with cloudless skies and the pool temperature just right.

We met Mikalis and his wife, and Stephanos their son, who were very welcoming and friendly, also Dimitri your Representative, a real Gentleman.

The views are spectacular - long may they remain so!  Thank you for helping to make our holiday a success, we look forward to returning.

Best regards,

David, Marina and Christopher,   Great Barton

Dear Irene,

I much appreciate what you did in organising a villa at such short notice - Villa Aurora was certainly something special for one person!. A fine property - I  happened to visit when the garden was superb, with roses, antirrhinums, geraniums and rockery plants showing a profusion of colour - and then of course the stunning views and fresh air - what more could one ask !!.

Also importantly for me it was near a number of old mines.

Thank you for your interest and professionalism in arranging everything for me.

Kindest regards,

Dear Irene,

Just had to drop you a line to say how fabulous our week at the villa Aurora was at the beginning of the month. The photographs really don't do it justice at all !! The villa itself was lovely, with absolutely everything one needs for comfort, yet with all the little finishing touches that make it feel more like a home than a 'holiday rental' .

The food hamper in the fridge WAS very
welcome!! arriving as we did at 7.30 p.m. The views were sensational, only one morning were we not up to watch the sun rise. We had very relaxing breakfasts on the veranda every morning and a ' couple ! ' of glasses of wine on the nights. We had dinner out in one of the restaurants every evening, very good food, very warm, friendly welcomes everywhere we went. We have
been to Cyprus a couple of times previously, but this was the best trip yet ! and we both know we will return, especially if we can book the Aurora again for our stay !!

So be sure we will be
in touch with you in the future to arrange this !! Thank you again for your efficient and friendly E-Mails and arrangement of our VERY short week's break from all the hustle , bustle and stresses of everyday life. Will be in touch with you next year !!

All the best of wishes,

Kathryn Peacock

Hi Irene,

Just to thankyou for the most fantastic holiday we have just spent at Villa Aurora.

We shall never forget the most stunning views from the Villa, it is breathtaking and no photo could ever do it justice.

Please pass on our thanks to Michael who made us feel so welcome.

Without a doubt we will be in touch next year, this is the third Villa we have booked with you and it just gets better.

Best wishes

Lynn and Pat Lunt

Dear Irene,

Just a few lines to let you know our holiday in Cyprus was very good and Villa Aurora was lovely. The views were fantastic and the weather excellent. Sunbathing in November is always a good thing! We liked Kanalli at Pomos Port and the fish restaurants in Latchi and Finikas in Polis. Kykkos Monastery was a highlight and much recommended.

Thanks for all your help and advice; we hope to go back again.

Chris, Judy and Anna Gowthorpe

Dear Irene,

Bet and I would like to thank you for arranging our wonderful holiday in Cyprus - this for the 3rd time in as many years.

The Villa and location gets better every year.

After staying in Paphos and its surrounding area for our first holidays in Cyprus. This year we fancied moving to another area and with your help, we selected the outstanding and beautiful valley in Simou - which is roughly halfway between Paphos and Polis. The location of "Villa Aurora" is fantastically placed, with the Paphos forest as a back drop, looking down on Polis and the Mediterranean sea.

Aurora is completely private, with no traffic or intruding eyes - ideal for an all over tan!!! which was high on my list.

The proximity of Simou village to Paphos, Polis and Latchi is ideal - giving us a choice of beaches - which we visited on a daily basis - to bathe in the warm Mediterranean water.

We made many friends with the local people - especially when eating out at the many local Tavernas - while the modern supermarkets in Polis provided us with all our needs during our two week stay.

Bet and I found it very difficult to pack our cases to return home and have decided that when we again return to Cyprus, we will definitely be returning to Villa Aurora.

We have no hesitation in recommending Simou as the perfect location for a perfect holiday.

I thank you for your generous birthday present for my 70th birthday on the 10th September.

Yours with many thanks,

Wil and Bet Moore.

PS. After arriving home on the Isle of Anglesey on 16th Sept., we've had rain on a daily basis and a temperature of lower than 60 degrees, compared with 92 degrees and constant sun in Cyprus.

Welcome to Wales!

Dear Irene,

Just a line to say that the Villa Aurora was not as you described, it was better! No one could do it justice without being there, it was stunning, we loved our walks into the village to drink at the taverna, breakfast on the terrace every morning we saw something new in the surrounding countryside, it was the perfect lead up to the wedding which also was wonderful.

We had a lovely holiday and our friends want to come back with us !!!!

Jane Newman, Old Sodbury

Dear Irene

Holiday was very good, Aurora was fab, the photographs really don't do it justice, the 180 degree view was outstanding. We didn't expect the villa and its owner to be so nice.....
