Description

Villa Ampelitis, completed in January 2009, is a true “4 seasons” property with its heated indoor pool and centrally heated house and studios. The thermal glass in all windows and insulation throughout using the latest technology, makes it comfortable for rentals the whole year round: warm and cosy in cooler months and cool and airy in hot summer months. For your added comfort the sliding doors and windows are fitted with netting, which means you can enjoy fresh air throughout the property without allowing any insects in.

Ampelitis' owners Nick and Nicole realise how difficult it is for people with limited mobility or a disability to find quality accommodation in Cyprus, and have tried to design Villa Ampelitis and studios to meet the needs of everyone, instead of building “just another villa.” The studios are available to you only, if required, to book along with the house, not alone.

To view disabled facilities, click here.

Villa Ampelitis is privately located with stunning 360' views in Ampelitis Village (Statos-Agios Fotios) amongst the vines on the beautiful Wine Route of Vouni-Panagia. Ampelitis is a hillside village where you can still enjoy and sample the traditional Cypriot way of life, yet be within easy striking distance of Paphos and its beaches. Everything needed in daily life can be found locally as Ampelitis village has a small supermarket, internet cafe & coffee-shop, 2 x butchers, 2 restaurants (one sells local produce) and the award winning local Kolios winery with restaurant overlooking the vineyards. A fishmonger visits the village twice weekly with his refrigerated van, and we can arrange for him to call with no obligation to buy.

Testimonials for Villa Ampelitis

Hello,

We had a great holiday, the villa and facilities were wonderful. My only criticism was the downstairs bedroom which we had to use, it was a little small for the wheelchair and it had a fairly big wardrobe in it. The boat trip was really good and it was great for me to swim in the sea via the hoist. Hopefully we will be back soon.

Regards,

Don Boulton

Hi Irene,

We're jetlagged and tired from too many late nights.

Nick and Nicole were great hosts and we had a fantastic time. Facilities for young, old and disabled all superb! Realy nice to have choice of toys for kids in a villa. Stairgate at top of stairs is a great feature. Heated indoor pool a real treat although we never did figure out the jacuzzi and waterfall controls despite instruction!!!

Winery lunch wonderful, not a potato chip in sight

Fireworks superb but you really didn't have to put them on just for us! ;-)

Thanks for all your help,

Bill & Trish Barnes

Dear Irene and Nicole,

Now that my parents have settled back home and got used to the rushed and pressured environment compared to Villa Ampelitis where they have been the last ten days, I was able to see some photos and hear how it all was. They came back full of excitement from a place where they felt so relaxed and 'away'. The villa was fabulous; it had everything in it for a completely relaxing getaway. The owners did their best to explain everything and accommodate their guests in their best possible manner. The villa, the pool, the surroundings were all outstanding and something which would be very hard to even compete with anywhere else. They have been all around and this was one of their most relaxing holidays. I can only thank both Irene and Nicole for the very smooth transaction and ultimately a very beautiful relaxing break my parents had.

I don't recall them saying where it can be improved on at all and I hope they left it in good condition with apparently even replacing your old dead flowers for fresh ones!

I hope one day I will have the opportunity to rebook your villa!

Kind regards to both of you and good luck with all your rentals and future customers.

Kind regards,

David Van    London

Dear Irene,

The villa was all that we wanted and a lot more, we had a fantastic week. Nick meeting us at the airport with our car (CY Breeze) took all the stress out of having to find the hire car bus/get to the depot/sort out the hire car and find the villa, we just got in the car and followed him to the villa and sorted the paperwork out there. Nick and Nicole couldn't do enough for us, even to the point that it was my husband's birthday the Saturday after we arrived and they gave him a present - it was so nice of them to do that and it was the last thing my husband expected.

The villa has so much space that there was more than enough room for our party of 6 plus the extra people (5 friends living in Cyprus) we had over for the evening. There is everything you could want in the kitchen, so cooking for 11 people was a breeze. The centre heating and open fire was a god send, as the weather was not very good, as was the in-door heated pool - to be in the heated pool when it was cold and raining outside was great.

My husband and I always have villa holidays as he spends so much time in hotels with his job, staying in hotels are not a holiday for him and we both agree that Villa Ampelitis was up there at the top of our list and we would like to go back in the summer time, just us two....

It is a great big thank you to Nick and Nicole for letting us use their villa.

Kind Regards

Elveena Jay Hampshire February 2010

We have had a fantastic week in a wonderful property and were really "living" here - the children mainly in the pool! The fireplace was much enjoyed, appreciated and working very well. Nicole and Nick gave us very useful information and special local info. such as the ceremony at the harbour on 6th of January (Ta Fota) which we attended, and have been very helpful in arranging our online check-in for our flight back to Frankfurt. I had the most tasteful parsley here and the butcher in the village has got fantastic lamb chops. The fantastic hospitality of the Cypriots made our stay a really special one and we got by very well on foot along with the little shopping dictionary in the villa folder. Tips for winter: Visit Coral Bay it’s lovely and quiet in winter months. Bring firewood inside one day in advance in order to dry it).

Thank you very much for a fantastic holiday.

A wonderful place to start the New Year. We enjoyed the excellent facilities and the spacious feel. The kids loved the swimming pool (and so did we). Nick and Nicole were excellent at communicating with us and in responding to our queries. Their notes about the area were very helpful and informative. We had a great day at the bird park (ideal for young kids) and enjoyed our trips to the harbour in Paphos. Thanks for a great holiday.

Hi Irene

Thank you, we had a wonderful time at Villa Ampelitis in October. It is a beautiful homeand the toys, dvd's and other equipment for children was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated. 3 tips for places to see: Eleouthkia Park, Pissouri Beach and just head to coast if weather at villa is not thatgood

We won't hesitate to recommend you to others.
Thank you again

I stayed here end of November/beginning December 2009 in order to take some new photos and video, so I had the opportunity to try out the different temperatures of the pool and the fireplace, and test the villa out for a winter stay. Pool temperature of 26' is easily warm enough for swimming, and 30' is more like a jacuzzi temperature so I would recommend this for young children or anyone with limited movement etc. I often get asked "What is the weather like in Cyprus in winter?" and I had quite a mix, most days were sunny, so we were able to get the shots and video, and we had about 3 days non stop rain in the middle. The terrace by the pool is a suntrap and the sea views are lovely from here. I particularly enjoyed swimming in the warm pool whilst watching the sun turn red and set into the sea. I have stayed in many properties in Cyprus in winter over the years, and being accustomed to central heating (warm bathrooms etc) in UK, this was the cosiest. A fantastic stay.

We visited Ampelitis Inn in August 2009 and had a fantastic holiday. We have a 15 year old daughter who has Cerebral palsy and is spastic quadriplegic, so lifting, handling, toileting and showering have always presented a problem for us on holiday. I can honestly say this time was very different, we had a choice of wet rooms with a shower/toilet seat that was on wheels, all the doors were wide enough and all the rooms thoughtfully laid out and spacious, added to this the indoor pool was the perfect temperature with the ceiling hoist which enabled us to get Nadine in and out of the pool without breaking our backs. She was a different child on this holiday. Everywhere on the ground floor was level access, so again no problems with the wheelchair.

The only disappointing thing was that due to past experiences we only took the manual chair but we could have taken the electric as there was plenty of room to manoeuvre, we would have also taken the manual chair for visits into Pafos etc. and next time this is what we will do. (We have already re booked.) If anyone would like to ask me any questions I will be happy for Irene to pass on my details and you can either ring me or email me

Hi Irene

Sorry for the delay but once you get back to work time passes so quickly. We would like to thank you for a most enjoyable holiday based at your house in Cyprus. It’s difficult to imagine what to expect when you are looking at photos in a brochure or online but I can say your house lives up to the impression you get from them.  The space is by far one of the best features and the quality of the furnishings does make you feel almost at home. For us the pool was a big attraction and we certainly made good use of it, as you saw Adam is a very energetic young boy but being fully dependant on a wheelchair, it’s sometimes difficult to allow him to do the things we all take for granted. For me the climate was just about right and during evenings we loved to sit out, enjoy our meal and drink our wine with beautiful views.
We would highly recommend your house to anyone looking for good quality, peace and tranquility, excellent views and a pool to die for.

Best Regards

Derek, Michelle and Adam July 2009

Dear Irene,

Villa Ampelitis was just the thing we wanted, well out the way of the tourist areas but also only a short drive to Paphos. We were very spoilt with the in-door pool, especially this time of the year (March). I can only imagine what it must be like mid summer with all the doors open, with that spectacular view.

Nick greeted us at the airport where upon he gave us our car for the few days (CY Breeze). We followed him to the Villa, it couldn't have been easier, and he could not have been any more helpful. He even asked if we needed anything from the shops!

I was pleasantly surprised when the small shop down the road took chip and pin, something even major countries haven't yet grasped. I would highly recommend the Statos Agios winery for lunch one day, in fact I was so impressed with the wine I had to pay a hefty sum at the airport for my over-weight baggage!!

Thank you for such an easy, stress free holiday.

Kindest Regards

Ben Paddick Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire March 2009
