This beautiful house with 2 studios is superbly located with stunning 360' views in Ampelitis Village (Statos-Agios Fotios) amongst the vines on the beautiful Wine Route of Vouni-Panagia. Ampelitis is a hillside village where you can still enjoy and sample the traditional Cypriot way of life, yet be within easy striking distance of Paphos and its beaches. Everything needed in daily life can be found locally as Ampelitis has a small supermarket, coffee-shop, 3 x butchers, small restaurant (which also sells local produce) and the award winning local Kolios winery with restaurant overlooking the vineyards. A fishmonger selling fresh fish from his refrigerated van visits the village twice weekly, and we can arrange for him to call with no obligation to buy.
The lane back into the village is tarmac, and downhill. The local taverna, Persefone Nikolaous owned by friendly Maria, has a ramp and is wheelchair accessible and highly recommended. She serves simple but very tasty grilled food, salads etc. You can also stock up on local produce whilst there. Open from April to October.

This comprises, all on one level: One double (or twin) bedroom and bathroom featuring a wheel in style shower specially designed for elderly guests or those with limited mobility, a fully equipped modern stainless steel kitchen, sitting room with fire-place and TV/DVD.

Upstairs

A beautiful open plan staircase leads to the upper floor with the master double (or twin) bedroom & en suite bathroom with bath, shower and w.c. 2 medium sized bedrooms, one double and one twin share a bathroom with shower and w.c. Both the master bedroom and the double bedroom have direct access to the two big roof verandas with panoramic views to mountains, sea and the village.

The superb heated swimming pool room is accessed from the main house (and studios) via a sunny glass corridor, overlooking the olive tree courtyard. The pool has a waterfall feature and a wheel in shower room with shower, toilet and wash basin. A pool lift is available for clients with disabilities. In summer the glass doors can slide open to allow direct access to the sun terraces where you can bask in the glorious sunshine and enjoy your wonderful views.

Outside

Fruit trees and a compact herb and vegetable garden are for the use of all guests in the property. Sun terraces equipped with reclining sun chairs, patio furniture and sun loungers. The play-area outside, box of toys in the house, cot/highchair and baby-equipment on request will suit families with children. There is a playground in the village, approx 5 mins walk.

On a further positive note, Paphos Harbour and the waterside with its many shops and restaurants underwent a transformation in 2008 and is now pedestrianised, so you have level access to the old fort, the Gallery with exhibitions, the wonderful mosaics and waterside tavernas. Quaint Polis Town centre is also now pedestrianised, and many shops and restaurants now have level entry with wheelchair access.

With wider door frames, wheel-in showers and a pool lift the owners have tried to design this accommodation to suit wheelchair bound or elderly guests, or those with limited mobility, as well as being ideal for the able bodied. The ground floor of the whole complex is on one level with no steps involved.

Where a twin or double bed option is given, you can pre book your preference, as the beds join together.
